Birthday Cakes

These are the birthday cakes Rebecca Kelley has written about on @acakerybakery. Nothing here is a menu, a price list, or a promise of a design she has not posted.

In June 2024 she made a pair of cakes for a pair of twins, each with their own opinion on what a birthday cake should look like. She posted two cakes instead of one: a gray koala on a sage-green cake, and a brown bear in a party hat on chocolate frosting.

James, at three, asked for a fish being scared by a brachiosaurus. She wrote that three-year-olds have wild imagination stations, and she tagged that post #birthdaycake.

The mermaid cake is tagged #birthdaycake too. The caption is for anyone who has tried to swim with their knees together like a mermaid tail, collected shells, and wished for a seagull, guppy, or otter as a best friend.
